Improvement of a quality of life of older persons

DEŠA is implementing this project with financial support of a Ministry of the Family, Veterans’ Affairs and Intergenerational Solidarity.

The aim of the project is to offer an opportunity to older persons in acquiring knowledge and skills which will help them to maintain their physical and mental condition, to repress the feeling that they are incompetent and unnecessary, and thus contribute to the quality of life.

Within this project DEŠA will offer, for people inclined to creativity, learning old trade: weaving, knitting, stitching and pottery.

Weaving courses – duration of 5 days of intense learning and 5 days of independent work, and all will be crowned with small work exhibitions of attendees. The beginning of the course – June 5th 2006, every day from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m.

Stitching and knitting – duration of 30 days, twice a week in the morning or afternoon hours, in deal with attendees, as well as the work exhibition together with attendees of knitting course. The beginning of the course – June 5th 2006.

Pottery: June 29th and 30th and July 1st 2006 from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m.
