Women in the labour market

Contracting authority for Republic of Croatia is Croatian Employment Bureau, department for financing and contracting of EU projects

The main objective of the project is to increase employment of the long term unemployed women and unemployed women over 40 in Dubrovnik Neretva County.

The specific objective of the project is to Increase working competence of the long term unemployed women and unemployed women over 40 in the area of Dubrovnik Neretva County

Project beneficiaries:

Long term unemployed women and women over 40-65 in the area of Dubrovnik Neretva County (app.120 persons)

Location of the action: Dubrovnik-neretva county (Dubrovnik, Konavle, Neretva, Korčula)

Project duration: 12 months

Project activities:

1. Project management

(kick-off meeting, coordination meetings, internal evaluation)

2. Educational package „From idea to realization“

Trainings for entrepreneurs consist of the 3 seminars, total duration of 15 days, 8 hours per day.Topuics of the seminars are following: Basis of entrepreneurship, (legislation, business planning) – 5 days; Accounting, taxes and finances of small and medium enterprises (5 days); computer basics (5 days), 8 hours per day. Optimum will be 10-15 attendants per seminar/workshop

3. Educational package „How to present yourself to potential employer

With the assistance of the program “My Choice” unemployed women will be motivated to examine new careers and, at the same time, choose the occupations that suit them most according to their specific interests and characteristics.

4. Educational package”Traditional skills and new knowledge for self-employment”

Educational package includes a workshop on making autochthonous products and a foreign language course (we shall offer two foreign languages and choose the one for which has been shown more interest). Language courses last for 3 months (2 times a week for 2 hours), while the traditional souvenir workshop takes 2 days.
