DEŠA celebrated Women’s Day

danzena3DEŠA for years, regardless of political tendencies and guidance, denotes Women’s Day, paying tribute and recognition, not only to all the women who have suffered for millennia and have been killed in the fight for equality and basic human rights, but also to its members, fellow women citizens and all women of the world. This year too, DEŠA-Dubrovnik and the association of business women KRUG – branch office Dubrovnik, denoted the “International Women’s Day” with an appropriate program at DEŠA’s premises in Lazareti, on March 08th.

Over fifty women of all ages attended this traditional event at DEŠA’s premises. After introductory words given by Ms. Hansal president of DEŠA, guests were greeted by parliamentary representative Ms Tatjana Šimac Bonačić, president of the city council and the Women’s Forum of SDP and Ms Olga Muratti and Terezina Orlić, President of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and the Association of Business Women “Krug”.

Nowadays, there are fewer of these events where women gather, regardless of political orientation, occupation, or personal interests. Even during the period when this event was not celebrated publicly, every year DEŠA with the same enthusiasm and joy, marked this day of such importance for the recognition of women as equal members of society.
