From September 26 – 28 , The 8th Croatian Festival of jam and marmalade will be organized by DEŠA-Dubrovnik, association for cultivation, promotion and manufacture of bitter orange “Dubrovačka naranča” and County Chamber of Commerce, Dubrovnik.
Over the years this sweet festival has become a traditional manifestation in our city. In the past seven years over 230 exibitors from all parts of Croatia took part, and more than 100 000 foreign visitors tasted and bought their products.
When we started this festival our main goal was to present quality products of small entrepreneurs of Croatia to national and international public and we are proud to say that our goal has been achieved.
The festival also bears a cultural aspect as the exibitors are dressed in the traditional costumes of their native regions, thus promoting tradition, customs and way of life. Their products have become a gastro-souvenir, very much appreciated by the public.
Dubrovnik Tourist offer has been enriched by this festival as both locals and foreign visitors have the opportunity to taste and buy original sweet delicacies.
The festival will take place in Luža Square (in front of St. Blaise Church), officialy opening to the public on Saturday, 27 September.
