Constituent Assembly of the 1st Cluster of women entrepreneurs Croatia “KOLO” – how to strengthen the local environment “Association for the contribution of women to the development of rural areas” was held on November 11th 2014 in the town of Sinj at the premises of Alka’s house. Cluster’s Headquarters are in the city of Sinj at the address Luka 7.
Women entrepreneurs from Vukovar-Srijem County, Osijek-Baranja County, Lika-Senj County, Dubrovnik-Neretva County, Zagreb County, Split-Dalmatia and Istria County participated in the general meeting.There were also presented products made by these women: prosciutto,Cheese from Lika – škripavac, arancini, jam made of bitter oranges, homemade sausages, liqueurs, donuts from Sinj, Soparnik from Poljica, the shoes made of “husks”, handbags, handicrafts from the Cetina and Lika territory.
For the president of the newly established Cluster was selected Ms Ana Barać from the Entrepreneurial Center Sinj,for the vice-president was elected Ms Mary Ann Rukavina Cipetić, president of GTF’s initiative for sustainable growth, as a secretary was elected Ms Jany Hansal from Dubrovnik, president of DESA, and as liquidator Ms Dragica Rogić, president of Gačanka association from Otočac. The Management Board of the 1st Cluster of Croatian women entrepreneurs constitute: Ana Barać, Mary Ann Rukavina Cipetić, Dragica Rogić, Fanika Janko, Jany Hansal Ivana Herceg and Ivanka Vuko.
The specifics of this cluster are bringing together women who produce distinctive indigenous products, preserving the heritage and working through sustainable development based on the principles of corporate social responsibility.
This model of clustering guarantees to the small enterprises security and equal competition with the big ones, which is one of the objectives of the proposal for establishment of this Cluster.
